Whereas, Roller Derby Announcers are often of exceptional humor and generally funny at various roller derby events, bouts, and tournaments, and…

Whereas, Roller Derby Announcers often provide their services free of charge and are willing to go to many different locations to help various leagues and teams help with bouts, events, and tournaments, and….

Whereas, Roller Derby Announcers are instrumental in helping to promote the sport of roller derby with unselfish dedication as illustrated above…

Therefore Be It Resolved, that we the roller derby fans, skaters, and volunteers proclaim the week of January 13, 2008-January 20, 2008 as National Roller Derby Announcers Week to honor and generally extol the virtues and accomplishments of said announcers throughout this nation and continent.
